A. DigiSkills training program is Pakistan's first online training program that empowers youth with skills that are in high demand in the freelance market. It consists of several online skill-based training courses. The unique feature of this program is that the course content is specially designed for the Pakistani audience in a combination of Urdu and English language.

A. You should join this program to learn skills that are in demand in the freelance markets. Learning these skills will enable you to be part of the fast-growing freelance market and earn without having to look for a job.

Q3. Is the DigiSkills training program a private or government program?

A. The DigiSkills Training Program is an initiative of the Government of Pakistan spearheaded by the Ministry of IT and Telecom through Ignite - National Technology Fund (formerly National ICT R&D Fund) and implemented by the Virtual University of Pakistan.

Q4. When will the registration open for Batch-07 DigiSkills 2.0?

A. Registration for Batch-07 courses will open on 1st March 2024.

Q8. What is the minimum educational qualification required for this program?

A. There is no minimum educational requirement to take DigiSkills training and we encourage anyone who can read, write and understand English to train to build their future as a freelancer. Get it.

A. To access the DigiSkills program, you must have a good stable internet connection at home with a desktop, laptop, or Android phone.

Q10. Where can I get this training?

A. This is an online training program. Once you sign up for this program and register for courses, you get access to the DigiSkills online learning management system. All the module videos and content you have enrolled in will be available on the LMS. You can access it from anywhere, like your home or office, all you need is a computer with internet connectivity. You can expedite the training yourself or you can follow the announced time table which will be available on the portal.

Q12. I am already a freelancer, will the freelancing course help me?

A. Even if you are a freelancer, you can enroll in our DigiSkills training program to learn new skills to earn more money or improve your freelancing portfolio by learning from experienced freelancers and experts. This course will definitely offer something new and helpful to existing freelancers.

Q13. Will this move provide jobs to freelancers or is it just to train them?

A. This program is designed to train people in skills that are in demand in the freelance markets. It will not offer jobs to the trainees, but will provide skill-based training, enabling them to get projects from the freelance markets.

Q14. What is the maximum number of courses I can take in all batches?

A. A total of 15 courses are being offered in this program. In a batch, a trainee may take a maximum of two (2) courses. This way you can get training for all 15 courses in 8 batches. This limit is imposed to ensure that a trainee gets maximum value from the course(s) they are enrolled in and can actively participate in discussions, coaching and assignments.

Q15. Do I need professional advice in choosing a course?

A. Which course is right for you depends on your interest and to some extent your previous education. All courses are of equal importance. Freelancing course is mandatory if you are enrolling in DigiSkills.pk.

Q17. I have registered with DigiSkills.pk, but unable to activate my account.

A. You can sign in with your registered email address using your existing password and regenerate the activation email to activate your account.

Q18. I'm enrolled in courses, but unable to access course study materials and videos?

A. Course related study material, videos and all relevant links like course website, announcements, and discussions etc. will be accessible after the batch starts. We encourage you to sign up and you will be automatically notified once the batch starts.

Q19. How can I reset my lost password?

A. You can reset your password yourself through the "Forgot Password" link available on the "Sign In" page and follow the instructions. If the problem persists, you can contact the support team using the Contact Us interface۔

Q20. When will each week's videos and course materials be available on the LMS to registered students?

A. Each week's content and videos will be made available by 11:00 AM on the respective Monday.

You will find your enrolled courses directly on your LMS from the home screen under the "My Courses (DSTP2.0-BATCH-06)" section. Click on the relevant course, and you will be directed to the "Subject Content" tab. Here you can watch the current week's videos.

To move to the next topic video, click on the "Next Topic" link available at the top right.

To view current and previous weeks videos:

After logging into your LMS account, click on the "Course Website" icon under the "My Courses (DSTP2.0-BATCH-06)" section.

Here you will see the current and previous weeks' topics under the 'Course Topics' tab.

Click on the 'Week' you want to watch videos for.

Click on any topic; This will take you to the "Subject Content" tab. Here you can watch the video.

Q23. What if I have a question?

A. You can ask questions anytime using DigiSkills Learning Management System or DigiSkills.pk Contact Us page. Our coaches are here to answer your questions.

There are three interfaces where you can ask questions.

Discussion Board: If you are an enrolled trainee, visit the LMS discussion board to post your question. On the discussion board, you can ask a question, help other trainees by commenting on their questions, and view previous questions related to that particular topic.

Online Support: You can send your general queries related to LMS, course and other matters related to DigiSkills.pk.

Mobile Phone Number: You can call 0304-111-1570, and ask your question directly to the coach.

Q24. Will I get a certificate after completing the training?

A. Yes, you will receive an e-certificate from the DigiSkills training program if you meet the course completion criteria. DigiSkills e-certificate will be issued by Virtual University of Pakistan.

Q25. What is the completion criteria to get e-certificate for any DigiSkills.pk course?

A. As per the course completion criteria, trainees will need to score 50% to be eligible for e-certificate.

Each component (video, quiz and hands-on exercise) carries a certain percentage of the total score out of 100 as given below:

Viewing subject videos through LMS = 60%

Quiz = 25%

Hands-on exercises = 15%

Example:

If you watch 70% videos, attempt 60% quizzes and submit 50% hands-on exercises, your total score will be:

Video Score: 42

Quiz Score: 15

Exercise Score: 7.5

Total Score: 64.5 (Eligible for E-Certificate)

Q26. How can we get hard copy of e-certificate?

A. Eligible trainees will only get a soft copy of the certified e-certificate for each of their respective courses. You can access the verified e-certificate as soon as the course certificates are available in your learning management system.

To download your e-certificate from LMS, please consider these steps:

Log on to https://lms.digiskills.pk/

Click on the My Results button under the Trainee Services section (available on the home page).

Now click on the view option for any of the completed courses, it will redirect you to the e-certificate.

Download and print options are available in the top right corner of this page.

Q27. Can I access the content of the courses I have enrolled in previous batches?

A. You can only access videos, hands-on exercises and their solutions for previously enrolled courses under the "My Previous Courses" section on the LMS. However, other materials such as handouts, internet links, books, etc. will not be available.

Q28. After completing the training, how can I get work from freelance markets?

A. This program will help trainees learn new skills. As soon as a trainee learns a skill, he can create an online profile on any freelance marketplace. Trainees are encouraged to find online jobs on their own through freelancing platforms. During training, our coaches will help you build your profile and guide you in bidding for projects in freelance markets.

Q29. I memorized the videos and other course materials during or at the beginning of the training for a few weeks. Can I access previous course materials including videos on the LMS?

A. You can access all the videos of the previous courses you have enrolled in but once the batch ends other learning materials like handouts, books will not be available so please download them during the batch. Load and save.
